Unit has private entrance and is a huge townhouse directly on the beach. Patio/Deck is shared. The building is two townhouses, this is one side. This is the ultimate in what beach vacations are made of-house is on stilts and give a feel of stepping back in time to enjoy time with family and friends, yet still has all the modern luxuries to make your stay amazing. Please be sure to go 5 mph down the dirt road.

We are available and just a phone call away.

**Nearby Jet Ski, Beach Equipment and Watersport facilities and activity rentals are available in our area. However these are not directly provided by Salty Dog Vacations.**

Damage Waiver Disclaimer:

I. AGREEMENT

On behalf of Salty Dog Vacations, LLC, the party authorized to rent the vacation rental property and the owner of the vacation rental property, Waivo has assumed the responsibility for damages as outlined below and waives Your security deposit up to $2,500, the waiver limit purchased by You, the renter, for your stay at the vacation rental property.

Waivo is hereby responsible for theft or direct damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of Your acts or omissions. Waivo will pay the lesser of the cost of repairs or the cost to replace the property up to $2,500. This waiver does not negate your responsibilities as a renter for items outside of Waivo’s responsibilities.

This is not an agreement to provide insurance. You are buying a waiver of the security deposit otherwise due as part of Your vacation rental property lease agreement.

II. EXCLUSIONS

This Security Deposit Waiver will not pay for damages or theft resulting from:

1. Acts of God

2. Prior damage, cosmetic damage, or normal wear and tear

3. Theft without a valid police report if over $250

4. Loss of use of the vacation rental property

5. Rodent, termite, infestation, or wild animal

6. Damage to a motorized vehicle

7. Fine art, collectibles, or sets of items

This Waiver will not pay for damage or theft of property owned by You.

This Waiver will not pay for costs associated with odor, debris removal, backups of sewers and drains, landscaping, marring, maintenance, or mechanical breakdown.

III. CONDITIONS

Waivo has the sole authority to determine the nature and extent of damages, necessary repairs, and eligibility for the waiver, and shall exercise that authority in a reasonable manner.

Waivo reserves the right to determine if damage is eligible for reimbursement at actual cash value.

This Waiver will pay for excessive cleaning, as a direct result of damage, over and above the normal cleaning fee. An irreparable stain or spillage is considered damage.

This Waiver is only effective for a one-time single continuous stay, of up to 90 days, for which You purchased the Waiver. It takes effect when You occupy the vacation rental property and terminates when You depart the same vacation rental property.

This Waiver is only effective if any theft or damage is reported to Waivo by You, the property manager, the online travel agent or the owner of the vacation rental property within 14 days of Your departure from the vacation rental property.

Waivo will not respond to damage or theft under $50 US dollars.

If there is a dispute related to these terms, mediation is required before any party may file litigation. In the event of litigation, all parties waive the right to a jury trial.

IV. DEFINITIONS

You, or Your, is the renter of the vacation rental property and includes the renter’s spouse, children and any other person the renter invited on to the vacation rental property during your stay at the vacation rental property.

You really can’t beat this location! The house was right on the beach which was super convenient. However, the house its self is pretty old and has quite a few noticeable signs of wear that could use some updating and repairs. But it was very nice any time we had an issue they sent out a very friendly maintenance guy right away. So I do appreciate their quick responses. Overall we had a lovely time.

Great area! Beautiful almost private beach. House was clean and comfortable. Plenty of clean towels to use for bathrooms and the beach. Also provided some beach chairs and beach toys. We had a great time at the property and enjoyed the short drive into St. Augustine as well as Flagler beach. Would love to stay there again!

Bad timing but beautiful location

This location is perfect. Our timing was off as I was told after we got there and had several issues that the home was getting ready for updates. The kitchen was dirty (cabinets not cleaned and they were sticky) the cleaning staff did not do their job and it’s really unfortunate. Issues with getting into the home (code didn’t work but finally able to access keys in the lockbox). The property manager was extremely kind and apologetic about the lack of cleanliness. I realize it’s a beach property and very casual but the problems we saw were unacceptable. Again, location was perfect and hopefully the updates are completed before anyone else stays here.

This is actually a duplex, I think that it should be listed as such being that you have to share the front steps and the back deck area with the people in the other side of the duplex. The best thing about this place is the location, the view and proximity to the beach is AWESOME! However, the house is in rough shape, none of the fan controls work, the curtains don’t match up especially in the master bedroom, you are awake with the sun because it shines right in, no sleeping in. There were bugs in the one of the upstairs bathrooms. The house definitely needs updating. It was fine for a weekend.

Unfortunately, in Florida no matter how much we prep and spray, bugs are with us on the daily, but we always treat appropriately as soon as we are made aware.

Perfect location and breathtaking views

I am sure you won’t find any other place in Palm Coast so tranquil and closer to the beach. To make it the perfect place, a few house renovations will do the trick.

We stayed there as two families with 4 kids between us. My husband loves surf fishing and so the kids could bounce back and forth from the house to the beach happily. This beach is so private and lovely! We may not have had the best weather but we still were able to make the most of it! We did have a few issues with the property but these were taken care of promptly by Salty which was awesome. My one complaint which I saw in a few other reviews is that the keypad on the door does not work. It didn't work last year with the code we were provided either. If this worked for true ease of check in, that would be great! We plan to return to this property again and have recommended it to friends and family!

Big kitchen has everything. I would get rid of cheezy decorations and install real drapes. It felt like the clearance section at Marshalls! Haha! Maintenance person has limited talents in painting, plumbing, electric and cleanup. If you want a nice sized beach house for 5 people and a small dog, this place is perfect. We considered ourselves lucky to be there with such short notice. State park next door had xmas celebration. Captains BBQ at Bings Landing marina is wonderful! Christmas after dark in St. Augustine is magical! Thank you to our hosts Mr. Salty and crew.

Native Floridian give Two Thumbs Up!

Great place to stay! Pics of stairs should be included as it's a townhouse with all bedrooms up stairs, which made it difficult for my 92 yr old mother to navigate. Location was great and house was clean, overall I would rent again.

had to wait for maintenance to put a fan up, filter had not been cleaned in what looked like over a year, leak in the ceiling, black mold on the ceiling and cabinets, broken rails outside, broken chairs, had a humidifier in the laundry room draining in the sink, woke up at 3 in the morning with the fan that was installed flickering and wouldn't stop no reply from them until about 10 the next day they told me maintenance would be there in an hour the guy didn't show up until noon and asked if we didn't know how to use the remote. we gave it to him to see if he could and he couldn't get it. i would think because it was hanging by wires. master bedroom dont lock. back door doesn't lock. door to room with bunkbeds stick. toilets don't flush unless you hold it down. lights on deck do not work. the neighbors had worse leaks in the other unit and mold. we told them and they said to tell maintenance he said he would spray paint over it. if I had the money we would have went elsewhere.

Even with the home being a spilt "shared space" it does not feel like as such and the location is absolutely amazing. Having the easy direct beach access and not having multiple homes to the left made it feel so private. Would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely do so again.

Must follow past map location all the way to end of the road. I tried to check in early and was going to pay the additional $20 per hour but the house wasn’t ready so had to wait 3 hours in the surrounding area with my daughter and dog we also paid for. Once original check in time occurred I was locked out for 20 minutes almost due to inaccurate code. Finally was able to speak with someone and they reset it. Few bugs in kitchen and it is a duplex with a shaded back patio. Beautiful scenery though and semi private beach. House was very spacious and plenty of toiletries provided.

Prime location to the beach, not so much for going into town. Would have been nice to not have a rusted out grill. But salt air is rough on everything. The host said there was no play pin, and I could rent one, but one was left from the prior guest, luckily I was able to return the one I bought.

We are already planning our next trip back! This location is awesome and the beach is so quiet and private, we loved it!

The beach access was perfect and the house could use some updates. Overall we had a nice stay. If cooking at the house be prepared to improvise. Not many good pots and pans. Also, only 1 dish towel is provided for the entirety of your stay. We left a small propane grill that we purchased so the next guests would have a grill to cook on. Dog hair is unavoidable in a pet friendly home but a new sweeper could help with that problem.

The home is in a beautiful location with a fairly private beach. Great deck and balcony to watch the sunrise. It is a beach cottage on a semi private road. The Salty dog team is very communicative and reach out quite often with recommendations and updates for the booking.

Salty was quick to respond, but the GUY got irritated when there was a problem. Jammie was great. Just finished cleaning when we got there two hours after check-in time. The cleaning staff did not explain, identify themselves or apologize. We could not use the steps going to the beach…sand washed away. That should have been noticed and repaired immediately. It was a hazard. The owner was very nice. If updated, this place could be amazing.

The vacation rental company had good communication on certain things, like check in and suggestions, they failed to let us know that people would be there working during our stay. The inside of the home is in need of updates and isn't in the best condition. The outside was a complete mess. There was lots of trash in yard, which made the view not so great. No one wants to look at trash and I was so worried it would end up in the ocean. Wallpaper is missing in parts of the home. They also had painters there while we were there. The place does need TLC, so I get they were working on that, but they should not have rented it while painters were there. We would look out and there they were in the doors and windows. It was creepy and they were playing loud music. I get listening to music while you work, but none of this should of been going on while we were there. The location was nice. The beach was pretty private and the views of the ocean were great. Overall not a great experience.

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway over the weekend, this is your place! The hosts answered any questions or concerns we had instantly & checked up on us while we were there! The beach house was very cozy with immaculate views!! Had a private feel to the beach with only a few neighbors walking by us as we sat on the beach for hours. The peace we felt here away from our normal lives was amazing!! There is ton of amenities & we used the grill to our full advantage! Beautiful Location

This house is in a gorgeous spot and the owners have worked hard to provide a sweet retreat with many amenities. The view and beach are gorgeous and quiet, and we loved the large decks. Our family of 4 had ample room and we could have been comfortable with 6-8 people. The beds were comfy and the linens soft. Be prepared for an older home experience. Despite some recent updates, this house has drafty windows and doors and very old kitchen and bathroom plumbing. There is also no longer a hot tub or a grill. Despite these minor issues we very much enjoyed our stay and I would book this house again.

Location is great but the approach to the house is bad. The furniture was broken. Was scared to sit on dinner table chair since they were wobbly. Place was not as clean as expected. Curtain rods keep falling off. View was great. Very easy access to beach. Good interior . Place do not keep sugar or enough coffee so bring your own. Over all 3.5/5 stars

We loved our stay at the Funky Pelican! It was amazing to be able to walk out on the deck and right onto the beach. It was never busy - we always had lots of open space, and we had many beautiful walks along the beach. The open living room/ kitchen with big glass doors onto the deck was a beautiful space to spend time together as a family. We were able to cook meals at the house and enjoy dinner together at the dining room table (or on the deck) - all with a view of the beach! Having three bedrooms upstairs was also really convenient for our family (traveling with little kids). The bedrooms are not quite as updated as the rooms downstairs, but they're still nice - clean and comfortable. The bedroom with double bunk beds has a few games and books, which was nice for the kids. In the primary bedroom, you can hear the waves while laying in bed, and the view from the primary bedroom balcony was amazing! Overall, we had a great time, and we'd recommend it to anybody!

Slice of Paradise

It was all about the living on the beach experience for us. It was indeed! All the comforts of home right on the beach with spectacular views of the ocean. A true feeling of a private beach. We have a large family, nine of us, and we were all comfortable and had ample room without feeling crowded at all. The management was personable and available. Their instructions about the property were easy to understand and made things seamless. Watching the dolphins were addicting. I have decided on two must-haves in my life, a hot tub and a home on the beach 🙌
