Damage Waiver Disclaimer:
I. AGREEMENT
On behalf of Salty Dog Vacations, LLC, the party authorized to rent the vacation rental property and the owner of the vacation rental property, Waivo has assumed the responsibility for damages as outlined below and waives Your security deposit up to $2,500, the waiver limit purchased by You, the renter, for your stay at the vacation rental property.
Waivo is hereby responsible for theft or direct damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of Your acts or omissions. Waivo will pay the lesser of the cost of repairs or the cost to replace the property up to $2,500. This waiver does not negate your responsibilities as a renter for items outside of Waivo’s responsibilities.
This is not an agreement to provide insurance. You are buying a waiver of the security deposit otherwise due as part of Your vacation rental property lease agreement.
II. EXCLUSIONS
This Security Deposit Waiver will not pay for damages or theft resulting from:
1. Acts of God
2. Prior damage, cosmetic damage, or normal wear and tear
3. Theft without a valid police report if over $250
4. Loss of use of the vacation rental property
5. Rodent, termite, infestation, or wild animal
6. Damage to a motorized vehicle
7. Fine art, collectibles, or sets of items
This Waiver will not pay for damage or theft of property owned by You.
This Waiver will not pay for costs associated with odor, debris removal, backups of sewers and drains, landscaping, marring, maintenance, or mechanical breakdown.
III. CONDITIONS
Waivo has the sole authority to determine the nature and extent of damages, necessary repairs, and eligibility for the waiver, and shall exercise that authority in a reasonable manner.
Waivo reserves the right to determine if damage is eligible for reimbursement at actual cash value.
This Waiver will pay for excessive cleaning, as a direct result of damage, over and above the normal cleaning fee. An irreparable stain or spillage is considered damage.
This Waiver is only effective for a one-time single continuous stay, of up to 90 days, for which You purchased the Waiver. It takes effect when You occupy the vacation rental property and terminates when You depart the same vacation rental property.
This Waiver is only effective if any theft or damage is reported to Waivo by You, the property manager, the online travel agent or the owner of the vacation rental property within 14 days of Your departure from the vacation rental property.
Waivo will not respond to damage or theft under $50 US dollars.
If there is a dispute related to these terms, mediation is required before any party may file litigation. In the event of litigation, all parties waive the right to a jury trial.
IV. DEFINITIONS
You, or Your, is the renter of the vacation rental property and includes the renter’s spouse, children and any other person the renter invited on to the vacation rental property during your stay at the vacation rental property.

This place says Beachfront and it’s not… it’s the back of a condo facing the street. It said there is a pool view and yes there is from 100 yards back and to your left. The home smells of mold and mildew and there is hair and dirt in the bathrooms and beds. There are stains throughout the house on the walls and I did not feel comfortable on the dirty living room furniture. We couldn’t stay long because my asthma couldn’t handle the mold and mildew smell. This was a horrible experience. Great location nice pool very comfortable beds! Positive: Loved the patio and the bed was very comfortable kitchen was fully stocked. Average accommodation especially given the price. Positive: Location was good. Had the required equipment in the kitchen, linen and toiletries. Negative: The photos are very old and did not reflect the accommodation accurately. There are issues with the property and many poles holding all the balcony’s up and the sliding doors and windows don’t open or if they do open they don’t shut properly. The beach and pool view is a stretch - you have to lean on the balcony rail to see either. View is predominantly the roof of the building next door or a carpark. The information given about getting the keys was accurate and helpful but finding the parking was not straightforward as we were not informed where the carpark was. Also information sent out about parking was in a document you sign weeks ahead and not in the booking confirmation emails. Pool is heated, even in January, which is a plus. Comfortable bed. We were there to play golf, and enjoyed the Daytona Beach Country Club, which has 36 holes, at an affordable price. It was a great place with lots of space for 5 people (our group had 4 adults). I would stay again if in the area. Beds were comfortable and we made our meals daily- salt and pepper were provided. Overall it was a pretty good visit. Positive: Location Negative: Several things need to be replaced. The cord cover over the cable wires was broken going to the patio from living room. Blinds need to be replaced to many panels missing. Needs more than one key to building. Need a light for the patio. Oversized comforter for twin bed was an inconvenient. Pillows need replacing. Curtain in spare bedroom made noise when the fan was on needs a blind. We came into town for the National College Cheer Championships and it was the perfect location! The condo is clean and very spacious. It has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you would need. The king size bed in the master was probably THE most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in! The only challenges we had was getting into the unit once we arrived. While Salty was great in his proactive communication, it was a little confusing on what to do with the multiple lock boxes. I think that if the instructions were a bit clearer on how the process works needing to get 2 different keys out of 2 different lock boxes, it would have been better. The keys are older and everything is a bit rusty so the access to the garage was really tough to get into. Having a garage door opener would be a better option. LOCATION! Very spacious condo right on the beach. Do not let the side location fool you, the view is amazing. The condo was as described, and supplies exceeded expectations. (Meaning I did not have to go buy bogie boards and sand toys!) The 3 beds were very comfortable, and the main bedroom had views of the water. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The place was so clean, but it was so hard to find the correct lockbox because there were so many and the stickers and numbers had faded. The air was messed up, the garbage disposal sounded awful so we couldn't use it, the door frame going to the balcony was a major trip hazard. The location is great. Very clean. There weren’t extra blankets or sheets for the pull out bed and they knew we had 6 people staying there. It’s a little unfair to provide such a low score for check in process. Apparently the building manager changed the lock box process and did not make Salty Dog privy. My elderly parents tried to access the building and it was confusing as to where the lock box was and the code. The lock box was in an elevated area that was full of rocks. My mom fell and was injured trying to access the box. Additionally there is only one set of keys to access the unit and the exterior doors. That meant it was a pain to go anywhere without the rest of my family in case they wanted to go to the pool or beach. If I took the keys they couldn’t get back in and if they had the keys I couldn’t get in. On the very positive side Salty Dog was polite, professional, and helpful. The unit was cute, very clean, and spacious. The view is mediocre but satisfied me to be able to see the ocean even if it wasn’t direct. Other tenants were family oriented, polite, friendly. The owner/company kept us well informed and was able to answer any questions right away. Very accessible. Also we we Positive: The unit was clean and well stocked with everything you need. Location was great! Oceanfront with a heated pool. Negative: It was confusing about parking and parking passes at first, but I messaged the owner and it was cleared up. check in was great and easy. There is a covered garage, which was super helpful for our motorcycles. the place is cute and was what we needed. However, my bedroom door didn't have a hinge on it so shutting and opening the door was a pain. The master bedroom TV was missing a power cord and the bed frame broke so there was a huge downward dip in the middle (which was super hard for my parents to sleep on). I called the company and they were very responsive but no one showed up for the hinge or power cord. I called the next day and still now one showed up. This was our first Airbnb experience ever. I was nervous as I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve had bad hotel experiences based off of the internet so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The location to me was perfect, there was a Publix one direction 2 min up road and Winn Dixie the other direction if you need anything. 2 ice cream places across the street. We went to cow licks, it’s an old establishment, as much is most Daytona but the service and the ice cream was delish. We were a 6 minutes drive away from the Daytona beach pier and all the restaurants and boardwalk attractions. There are also 2 mini golf places, again one in each direction away. To me it was perfect because we were in a not too overcrowded section of beach. Once we got into our room, it was awesome. Cute beach vibes cottage feel that was literally the perfect size for our party of 5. The pictures were exact. The balcony when u step out and look left sees the ocean and the waves can be heard from inside. The kitchen comes equipped with everything you need to eat and cook there and beach items for you to use as well which was perfect! The pool is a regular pool nothing wild to say there but it felt amazing after being in the hot sand and beach all day and the chairs face the ocean so it was superb. We even Instacarted things so we didn’t have to go out and drive, met them at the lobby door. The driveway to go up to the building to be warned is very very steep and yes two cars fit but it’s tight. Be prepared. The people there were friendly and nice and again the place was perfect, extra of everything you need, pillows, blankets, soaps, dishwasher stuff etc.. Relaxing with a big tv with smart tv features and wifi while listening to waves to end the days was perfect. Each room has a smaller tv as well. Communication was prompt and helpful. We followed a voluntary (and perfectly understandable) list of things to help do when checking out like ac up, towels washed (washer and dryer there) dishes we used washed and we cleaned up after ourselves. Yes you pay a cleaning fee, but that’s for people to disinfect and change lines and such and make it ready for the next guest, not to be maids to your messes so we gladly obliged ( i do this anywhere) We are already planning our next trip back as we enjoyed it very much! First off this property is a tad misleading with the pictures it’s not oceanfront but there is a side view but the unit was clean which is a plus but a stale smell I particularly didn’t like the look of the walk in shower it was nothing like the picture all 4 guest we just used the other the bathroom the whole time also the living room sofa is dated it’s leather but it’s dirty looking we covered it with a blanket to sit it’s definitely time to change it out also there were ants taking over the kitchen countertops and sink and many other cracks in the unit but they were prompt with trying to help get rid of them upon arrival but the ants stuck around the whole trip there are no food places within walking distance to walk everything is a hour away but other than those few flaws our stay was fineLaDora S - Posted: 6/22/2022

Thank you for sharing your space with us! The ability to walk from our pool deck straight to the beach was a dream. The home was perfectly spacious for 5 people and we especially loved the sliding glass door access from two places. Our favorite restaurants were Aunt Catfish’s, Bay Street seafood, Strouds BBQ, Hulas, Off the Hook, the pastries at the Italian place off Atlantic street and the ice cream at Cow Licks! We enjoyed our stay overall. The building is kind of old, but the people were nice and so was the pool and the beach access. Some of the furniture in the condo really needs replacing, and the bath towels. It would have been nice to have a more comfortable couch in the living room to watch movies on and the recliner chair desperately needs replacing. The kitchen and bathrooms were nice and redone, and the master bed was comfortable. The ceiling fan in the master was not usable as it shakes like it's about to fall off the ceiling and makes terribly loud noises when on. For the price, I felt it was worth the money, and we had fun. We really enjoyed our short stay here! My wife, myself, and our three (yes, three) toddlers felt right at home! Everyone we ran into was kind and pleasant. They connect you with someone to help with check in and out and any other questions, which gave me peace of mind, and I thought was wonderful. The unit is a good size, and we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The kitchen had plenty of cooking and eating dishes and utensils. Ice maker and dishwasher are so nice to have in the unit! The dishes are mostly glass, so if you have littles, maybe bring plastic! The only other kitchen items you need are food and condiments. There were plenty of bath towels in the unit, but only one beach towel, so I recommend bringing some with you. There were a couple beach chairs there (yay, packing those are a pain!), but no other substantial beach supplies, so be prepared with your own umbrella, sand toys, etc. In an effort to be energy efficient, the thermostat has to stay between 72 and 76, which was a little warm for us, but we managed, and all the rooms had fans. The pool was nice, and we used it daily. Parking for one car was provided in the private garage under the building, which I thought was really nice! The unit has great beach access!! It does require using concrete steps, which wasn’t a problem for us, but may affect people with elderly or disabled traveling companions. The beach has drive-on access nearby, though, if that’s the case. There is plenty of grocery, dining, and shopping available nearby. There is also a park with playground equipment within walking distance. They also mentioned they had equipment rentals available, but we didn’t take advantage of any. Location was great. When I booked I was unsure if oceanfront or ocean view but definitely ocean view. On 2nd floor so not a great view but you can see ocean. It was very clean and decorated very nicely! Loved the big balcony with plenty of seating along with an ocean and street view! Best of both worlds! Nice and roomy! The beds were very comfortable as well! The only thing we didn’t know ahead of time and weren’t happy about was that the thermostat could only be between 72 & 78 degrees at ALL times.
