The property was pet friendly. The location was five star all the way. I was right in the middle of where I like to be. Close the great Loop and close to other events that were nearby. I would suggest you get a new water hose. The one there is not usable. It has been sun beaten to no use. Other than we enjoyed the place.

It was a very nice location! There’s some construction going on around but the place was so nice that I barely noticed it! The home was a 10/10 I love the lake!

We had a good stay here. There was a plumbing emergency on the day of check-in, but the host was very accommodating and upgraded us to a property nearby without charging. Upgraded property had an electronic lock with dead batteries, within a half an hour someone was on site to assist us with this. Did not have any other complaints or issues the rest of the stay. Would recommend.

Everything about our stay was great! The check in process couldn’t have been easier. The property was clean and there was a cute little basket waiting for us, cheering on our daughter’s dance team. The house we stayed in was unclean and absolutely disgusting. For one, the ceilings and walls were peeling almost everywhere in the house. The cupboards in the kitchen had dirt and grime, and the cabinet which had the cutting board was FILTHY. The cutting board was disgusting and had black mold all over it. The bathroom mirror was not mounted correctly and fell, and the drawer under one of the beds fell apart when opened. The “beach” chairs provided were rotted and one of us fell through it when we sat on it. The house slept 8 people and stated it had a “fully stocked kitchen” but only four forks. The laundry room looked like a dungeon, and the backyard was unkempt and dirty. For an airbnb which sleeps 8, the driveway barely fits 3 cars and is extremely skinny and tight. The front door swings open and hits your car if you park under the covered driveway area. Finally, the neighborhood was dirty and located in an unsafe area.

Madison, we are truly surprised with these comments as we had no communication from you throughout your stay of any issues. We also had to remind you check out was at 10 am on the last day of your stay as the cleaners were there to prepare for the next guest, and you were still on the property well after check out time, so the property couldn't have been that horrible. How can Salty Dog Vacations try to work with you and discuss the items you mentioned, if you only decide to notify us with a negative review after you've left? We are truly flabbergasted with this and are very disappointed but of course are sorry for what you felt you experienced. We wish you luck with your future vacations and hope you find somewhere more suitable for you.

For the area, this place was top notch. Perfect for large families with four separate sleeping spaces, a huge back yard, streaming services and ping pong. It was better than advertised. Covered parking for two normal sized vehicles and just a few mins to the World Famous Daytona Beach! All appliances were brand new, the k-cup coffee was a welcome touch after a long day of driving. The rooms were well decorated and even though it was an older home, it had all the modern styling and upgrades (like amazing shower heads) that make it five star. Now on to the best part. If I was renting out my home in Daytona, Salty Dog would be my only call. They were AMAZING! The communication was like working with the staff at the Ritz-Carlton. So responsive and accommodating. And the check-out instructions were honestly the most convenient I’ve ever seen. Would definitely stay in any of their rentals again in a heartbeat.

The house is an odd set up but is cute and quaint. One of the rooms is connected to the king room and has twin bunk beds and another twin but the bunk beds aren’t pictured on the ad. However, it is very outdated and the paint is literally peeling off the walls. One of the outside panes of a double paned window was broken but there was no mention of this until I reported it. Felt a bit unsafe. Our coffee pot was dirty so we had to go out and get coffee-no big deal though. Would have appreciated more than one trash bag, more than 3 rolls of toilet paper, and soap dispensers that are not mostly filled with water. Upon arrival, you notice that they have charge lists in bathrooms for any linens that you stain ($25 for sheets, etc.) which felt like we were being nickel and dimed since they only provided very basic household supplies. Overall, I don’t think this was quite worth what we paid but it is convenient to the beach and to the racetrack.

Great property and communication

Came for the world open archery shoot! Had enough room for 3 adults and 5 kids 2 bathrooms one which is a stand up like a camper bathroom! The water was a little testing as when you flushed a toilet while someone was showering it got super hot for the person showering and water pressure in regular bathroom was light but still usable! Ping pong table and washer and dryer are in a seperate attached building in the back shich was odd to me but again still very usable! I would stay here again as the communication was great!

Place was just as described, and very convenient to location we had an event at. Once arrived, the smoke alarms were beeping, and Salty Dog was very responsive and sent maintenance over quickly to replace the batteries. Some of the bedrooms only had sheer curtains, so there were some privacy concerns, especially when a neighbor shined a flashlight into a bedroom late at night. A few of the curtain rods and pull down shades fell off a few times, but were easily put back. We utilized the kitchen, and had all the pans and accessories we needed to do so. The back shower was very tiny for a grown adult, and there was no shade or curtain on the back door window by the bedroom. The mattresses were extremely firm, which was slightly uncomfortable. The driveway had a cover, which was nice in the heat of summer to keep the car cool. Overall, this airbnb met expectations.

Rented this place for bike week. Overall we had a great stay! We didn't expect perfection but there were some surprises. In the initial listing I did not see that parking in the yard was not allowed, the listing stated 4 cars but if those are trucks that won't work. The carport is not very tall and the picture of the drive makes it appear longer. The second bathroom in the back of the house has a shower that only a small/average human can fit in! The 4th bedroom is only accessible by going through another bedroom or out the back door and around the house to re-enter through the kitchen. On day 3 we came home to a stove that would not turn on and woke up to no hot water in the house. These things happen but I have to say I am overly impressed with how Salty Dog handled the situation! Someone was at the house 15 minutes after I reported it and had backup plans for us if they couldn't get it fixed by the end of the day. I look forward to booking with Salty Dog in the future!

The first two messages I got a automated generic reply and didn’t not get the check in code till night before was late enough for me as I was coming from Europe and I wanted to have all sorted before traveling .. all in all a very tidy clean and comfortable place the main three bedrooms had very good beds the bunk and other kids bed was accessed through one of the bedrooms and only suitable for kids and I found this a bit cold out there the rest of the house was easily heated thanks for the stay salty

Workaday neighborhood, non-beach, great place to stay at a great price. Very clean, comfortable and generally perfect for our guys-golf-weekend. It is NOT the Taj Mahal, but rather a regular, blue-collar house in an old blue-collar neighborhood. It seemed like a little sketchy, but ended up great, no foot traffic, no craziness, quiet and perfectly “normal” place. This is a house someone raised kids in, mowed around, etc. and hasn’t been renovated to all chrome and glass. The price is great, the place is clean and comfortable, and once you find the back bedroom through the patio doors in the other bedroom (with its on window A/C unit, so it stays cool), you’re all good. It’s not a show place, but instead a perfect place for us guys to have our own BR’s, rest our heads and we appreciate Salty’s dedication to providing us a great value! If you want a great, low-key little house, this is a it. Would and likely WILL book again. And the best part is check-out was way easier than most!

I arrived after a 15 hour travel day and the I had received the wrong combination to get inside. The long day is no fault of there’s, but it doesn’t make it any better when I’m trying to get inside and sleep. I had to go out of my way and get a hotel for that night. I was refunded money for that night. The next day I go inside after getting the correct combine and I find that there is no power on in the house, that’s 2 for 2. I did get good communication and was offered beer/wine but I declined. The power was on within half an hour. But not something you want to be dealing with.

We’ll maintained

For a older house it was very well maintained. The house was equipped with everything including two different coffee pots and some coffee. All bathrooms had nice towels ,soap,shampoo and lotion. Also all bedrooms had TVs. The only negative was there was no electrical outlet in the main bathroom but we made it work. All in all we would stay there again!

Buggy

Very disappointed. I had to send email to get door code was not sent on time. Go on inside and found where pest control had recently sprayed and discovered dead roaches all over the kitchen floor. All of the cabinets were empty and dishes stacked on the counters. One of the toilets was clog and i was able to clear it out. I had replace a back porch light and the front porch light found both bulbs were blowed. A woman came by and cleaned up the kitchen. She was very nice and did a good job cleaning up!!! My wife was very embarrassed, as we were celebrating my 60th birthday. We checked out on the 5th and more bugs were found alive around the kitchen area. My wife instructed everyone to immediately wash everything when they get home.

I sent u the message below but got no response so I have no choice but the leave it on a review so that u can see it! We decided to leave a day early so we are officially out of the house! During our stay we had a wine glass chip in the dish washer so I took a pic and threw it away! Also there were some issues that I want to bring to your attention…. 1. There are roaches! GROSS! I had to purchase stuff to spray down the kitchen counters bc they were crawling all over it! 2. The floors were absolutely disgusting…they had not been clean prior to our arrival…we could not walk around bare foot the entire time! 3. There was a total of one wash cloth in the house…I ended up having to purchase more! 4. Most of the outlets in the house were not working! 5. On day 2 we notice after coming home that someone had been there in the back yard so that was a little creepy feeling! We purchased firewood from a local and left the rest there on the car port for the next guest!
