Damage Waiver Disclaimer:
I. AGREEMENT
On behalf of Salty Dog Vacations, LLC, the party authorized to rent the vacation rental property and the owner of the vacation rental property, Waivo has assumed the responsibility for damages as outlined below and waives Your security deposit up to $2,500, the waiver limit purchased by You, the renter, for your stay at the vacation rental property.
Waivo is hereby responsible for theft or direct damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of Your acts or omissions. Waivo will pay the lesser of the cost of repairs or the cost to replace the property up to $2,500. This waiver does not negate your responsibilities as a renter for items outside of Waivo’s responsibilities.
This is not an agreement to provide insurance. You are buying a waiver of the security deposit otherwise due as part of Your vacation rental property lease agreement.
II. EXCLUSIONS
This Security Deposit Waiver will not pay for damages or theft resulting from:
1. Acts of God
2. Prior damage, cosmetic damage, or normal wear and tear
3. Theft without a valid police report if over $250
4. Loss of use of the vacation rental property
5. Rodent, termite, infestation, or wild animal
6. Damage to a motorized vehicle
7. Fine art, collectibles, or sets of items
This Waiver will not pay for damage or theft of property owned by You.
This Waiver will not pay for costs associated with odor, debris removal, backups of sewers and drains, landscaping, marring, maintenance, or mechanical breakdown.
III. CONDITIONS
Waivo has the sole authority to determine the nature and extent of damages, necessary repairs, and eligibility for the waiver, and shall exercise that authority in a reasonable manner.
Waivo reserves the right to determine if damage is eligible for reimbursement at actual cash value.
This Waiver will pay for excessive cleaning, as a direct result of damage, over and above the normal cleaning fee. An irreparable stain or spillage is considered damage.
This Waiver is only effective for a one-time single continuous stay, of up to 90 days, for which You purchased the Waiver. It takes effect when You occupy the vacation rental property and terminates when You depart the same vacation rental property.
This Waiver is only effective if any theft or damage is reported to Waivo by You, the property manager, the online travel agent or the owner of the vacation rental property within 14 days of Your departure from the vacation rental property.
Waivo will not respond to damage or theft under $50 US dollars.
If there is a dispute related to these terms, mediation is required before any party may file litigation. In the event of litigation, all parties waive the right to a jury trial.
IV. DEFINITIONS
You, or Your, is the renter of the vacation rental property and includes the renter’s spouse, children and any other person the renter invited on to the vacation rental property during your stay at the vacation rental property.

Awesome Positive: Was very roomy. Kitchen was great , had all the appliances you could use Loved the enclosed porch plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Quiet neighborhood. Close to the beach. Hope to return soon Negative: Yard could use some TLC. One screen needed repair. Fan on porch needed replaced. Some of the fans didn’t work. Nice if 3rd bedroom had queen bed. Our family of 6 + 2 dogs enjoyed our stay at Salty's place. It is an older home as is advertised...it is well designed, very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was great. We cooked a few meals while there. Our 2 dogs were welcome, and the screened in porch and fenced backyard was a plus for them. Very responsive host...when we could not figure out one of the TVs, they sent someone right over. It was just a remote issue and taken care of quickly. Salty opens the communication for you to look at everything when you get there so you can let them know if anything is needed right away. I felt they truly wanted my family to be comfortable and enjoy ourselves. Beds were super comfortable and bedrooms spacious. The beach is a very short drive and it can be walked to as well - about 2 miles walk one way. This was a great place for us! Thank you Salty!!Debra M - Posted: 11/30/2024

The home is nothing like what's posted on the pictures. The pictures show vibrant colors, fully furnished throughout the house. When I entered, most of the furniture was not there. It smelled like the dwelling hadn't been lived in for over a year. There was hair on the floor and the wall of the shower of the master bathroom. The 2nd bathroom showerhead did not work. Water would come through the hose itself but not the shower head. There was a painting that partly covered the electrical panel and had brown stains running on the wall from the bottom of the panel. The grass had not been cut it quite some time. The pictures also show a nice size driveway however, it was never explained that driveway is only available to anyone that rents the addition that's labeled a "Cottage". The indoor patio smelled like an ashtray. The sheets in the master bedroom had holes in them. Nothing about the property is accurately portrayed in the photos. Nice house and good value Positive: It was a quaint house with character. It was comfortable and lived in. We had no issues with our dogs. It has a nice back porch and a washer and dryer. Negative: The location was a little sketchy bc there were alot of people walking around but I'm from FL so I knew if you mind your business they'll mind their business. Mid-grade experience. The home is located in a neighborhood that looks rough but it was safe. Negative: When housekeeping noticed that we left items accidentally, we were not contacted to have the items mailed home to us. So now, my personal items are considered their property but if I took anything, I would've been billed. Also, the dryer did not work, so we drive home with damp clothes. Look elsewhere for a better nights rest. I typically don't bother with detailed reviews but hopefully this will save someone else the uncomfortable and disappointing stay we had. Advertised as striving for a 5 star experience for their guests, however, our stay felt more like a very cheap rundown outdated roadside motel. We wanted to shower after a long day at the beach and finally found towels in a closet but they were damp...yuk. Guess they didn't have time to wait for the dryer cycle to finish before they folded and put them away. The house is old which is fine but it was not clean. Hair in the shower. Mud on bathroom floors. Rugs were dingy. Curtains were very dusty and torn. No liner in kitchen wastebasket. When getting into bed, I was welcomed by more hairs on the pillow and threadbare sheets. The AC didn't cool well so we had a warm restless night. The towels were mismatched, scratchy, and old. Note in bathroom threatened being charged a $25 replacement fee if those old dingy towels were used for makeup removal. Ugly cords hang haphazardly from the unworking tv in the living room. Everything needs a serious update and refresh. We paid around $250 for the cleaning fee but were sent multiple messages guiltying us into cleaning and leaving the house exactly as we found it. (Although I guess in our case that means to leave it dirty). I would never be inconsiderate by being overly messy but when you finally get a mini vacation, and pay a cleaning fee that high, you should never be asked to strip your own sheets and wash a cup if you use it. What's the cleaning fee for if you clean? In our case we didn't recieve a clean b&b but were asked to clean it for the next guest suggesting that the reason is because they need to accommodate guests who request a late check out or early check-in. We requested neither. I'd like to know what someone else's arrangement (surely with compennsating price adjustment) with Salty has to do with me cleaning. It seems to me if there is a time crunch Salty should hire multiple cleaners with our cleaning fee and prep it properly for his next guest. Salty sent a form letter message saying that if we had a problem to reach out, but quailty control shouldn't be my job or take my very limited vacation time. At 1 am a loud truck or motorcycle next door kept us awake revving the engine on and off for over 30 mins. A neighbor's off leash boxer dog charged at my husband when he went out to our vehicle. The only positives are the location being close to the beach, simple check-in, and when I asked questions prior to arriving they were answered quickly. The property itself was a letdown. Googling the address brought a disturbing article about 2 deaths and an investigation at the home a few years ago. We will not be back and do not reccomend.Jessica D - Posted: 7/29/2022
